The Islam Karimov Foundation’s publishing activities are also directed at popularizing Uzbek literature internationally by helping with the translation of Uzbek classics into foreign languages for subsequent publication. Attention is paid here both to works by prominent Uzbek classical authors and to works by contemporary Uzbek writers. The Foundation also provides help and support for the creative efforts of new authors.
