A bronze bas-relief honoring Uzbekistan’s first president has been unveiled at Tashkent Polytechnic University
A bronze bas-relief honoring Uzbekistan’s first president has been unveiled at Tashkent Polytechnic University, Islam Karimov’s alma mater, which he graduated from in 1960.
The bas-relief, weighing 700 kg, is 2.5 m high and 2 m wide, and was created by prominent Uzbek sculptor Jasvand Annazarov.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by the late Uzbek leader’s wife Tatyana Karimova and deputy minister of higher education, Odiljon Abdurahmonov.
