Lazizahon Maxkamova has been awarded a grant from the Islam Karimov Foundation to study abroad. She is currently in a two-year Master’s program at Moscow Architectural School (MARSh), specializing in “architecture and urban planning.”

“Studying at MARSh we were caught up at once in a round of events, activities and impressions,” says Lazizahon. “MARSh works in partnership with the School of Art, Architecture and Design at London Metropolitan University (LMU), one of the best architectural schools in Great Britain. Students at MARSh can get a British diploma while studying in Moscow – it is part of a consortium of independent educational institutions.

“All I want now is to study and study, to learn about everything new and be at the epicenter of this busy life. The best thing is that absolutely all the conditions are in place for me to do this. I am immensely grateful to the Foundation for giving me the opportunity to plunge into this atmosphere and acquire priceless knowledge!”
