A major exhibition dedicated to the 80th birthday of the founding father of Uzbekistan’s independence and its First President, Islam Karimov, has got underway today at the Oqsaroy presidential residence in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent. The exhibition, which will run till 2 April, features photos and paintings depicting different stages of President Karimov’s life.
