The Islam Karimov Presidential Library has been inaugurated today at the former premises of the First President’s Press Office

In the nascent years of Uzbekistan’s independence, President Karimov used to hold there meetings with representatives of local communities and foreign visitors. He received here credentials presented by first foreign ambassadors appointed to represent their nation in the young independent country.

The ceremony to launch the library was attended by President Karimov’s wife Mrs Tatyana Karimova, members of the public, Uzbekistan’s scientific and cultural communities.
