 Under the Karimov Foundation’s 2017-20 grant schemes 36 young Uzbeks have been awarded two-year scholarships to pursue their postgraduate studies at some of the leading European universities.
As of today, the Karimov Foundation’ scholars are studying for their two-year master’s degree at the following universities: the University of Freiburg (Germany); Hohenheim University (Germany); Ruhr University (Germany); University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany); Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences (Germany); School of Media, Communication and Business (Germany); University of Siegen (Germany); Bauhaus University of Weimar (Germany); Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (Germany); Technical University of Braunschweig (Germany); University of Applied Sciences Jena (Germany); University of Applied Sciences for Media, Communication and Management (Germany); Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy); Grenoble Alpes University (France); University of Geneva (Switzerland); University of Arts in Poznan (Poland); University of Wroclaw (Poland); Prague College (Czech Republic); Moscow Architecture School (Russia); Novosibirsk State University (Russia).

The scholarships were awarded in the following fields of study: Energy and Nuclear Engineering; Sustainable Systems Engineering; Bioeconomics; Mechanical Engineering; Architecture and urban planning; Computational Engineering; Sustainable urban development; Architecture, Facility Management and Geoinformation; Fine Arts; International Management; Environment and natural resources; Technology and Bionics; Communication design; Chemistry; Architecture and Urban Studies; Organic chemistry; Electronics, Electricity, Automatic transport systems; Global communication; Scientific instrumentation; Computational sciences in mechanical engineering; Mass media and communication; Land transport system and their maintenance.
