The Islam Karimov Foundation Donated a Copy of Islam Karimov: Founder of Independent Uzbekistan to the National Library of Uzbekistan
The Islam Karimov Foundation Donated a Copy of Islam Karimov: Founder of Independent Uzbekistan to the National Library of Uzbekistan, as well as the first number of the bulletin “Heritage and Modernity,” published in honor of the 80th birthday of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
These publications are compilations of contributions by individuals active in the government, politics and society, representatives of science, art and culture, ordinary citizens of various ages and professions, and people who were close to the First President over the course of many years. They include vivid incidents, lively stories and anecdotes relating to Islam Karimov. There are also photographs published for the first time, never seen by the general public before.
The donation ceremony was attended by the spouse of the First President, Tatyana Karimova; staff of the Foundation and the Islam Karimov Memorial Foundation; representatives of the Writers’ Union, the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, the National Museum of Uzbekistan, and the Youth Union; writers, poets, and members of the public.
